Nach der einjährigen Pause haben sich Gintoki Sakata, Kagura und all die anderen verändert. Gintoki ist nun nach seinem harten Training ein Kämpfer, während Kagura innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne zu einer wunderhübschen Frau geworden ist. Nur Shinpachi ist noch derselbe geblieben und scheint der einzige "normale" zu sein. Shinpachi, der sich einfach nicht an diese neue Welt gewöhnen kann, versucht ihr zu entfliehen, was allerdings sehr schwer ist, da all seine Bekannten sich verändert haben und ein Entrinnen somit ausgeschlossen ist. Was ist nun aber wirklich mit den Charakteren innerhalb des vergangenen Jahres passiert? Und wird Shinpachi es schaffen, sich an diese neue Welt zu gewöhnen?
