Kou ist auf der Suche nach seinem älteren Bruder Takumi, der die Familie verlassen hat und in einen unbekannten Teil einer großen Stadt gezogen ist. In einem heruntergekommenen Viertel wird er schließlich fündig und erfährt, dass Takumi inzwischen der Leiter einer privaten Detektei ist. Seine furchtlosen Detektive erledigen in der Stadt so manchen seltsamen Auftrag und kommen mit den verrücktesten Menschen in Berührung. Der feminine Takumi, der eine Vorliebe dafür hat, hin und wieder seine Hüllen fallen zu lassen, stellt seinen ahnungslosen kleinen Bruder ein und lässt ihn in der Firma aushelfen. So beginnt für Kou ein neues und abenteuerliches Leben in der Detektei.
