Der Oberschüler Akira Kiyose ist ein großer Fan von Baseball, musste jedoch aufgrund eines unglücklichen Vorfalls damit aufhören. Trüb geht er durchs Leben ... bis ihn eines Tages die Agentur sMiLea als Idol scoutet. Für Akira kommt das urplötzlich, da er nichts davon wusste, dass sein bester Freund unter dem Alias »KIKONOYU« Coversongs auf der Video-Streaming-Plattform MyTube veröffentlicht. Gemeinsam mit zwei anderen MyTubern, Banri Naoe, der sich einen Namen als »Evan« gemacht hat, und Chihiro Isuzugawa, auch »Suzu« genannt, gründet er die Idol-Gruppe Protostar. Schon bald steht der nächste große Schritt bevor: das Debüt!
